
Anita holds a BA in Literature and Media, as well as a MA in Literature from York University. She earned her PhD from the University of Toronto with a focus on critical theory and discourse analysis. In addition to her academic research, Anita is a true-crime writer with published books oriented towards an examination of the justice system, particularly in the conviction of murder in Canada.
Anita has been a full-time professor with Georgian College since 2000, teaching a range of classes in the Liberal Arts portfolio including literature (poetry, prose, film), true crime and interdisciplinary critical theory. She is also active in the labour movement.
