About WOMEN’s inTUITION
Georgian is asking you to empower women by joining to raise funds for awards and scholarships for female students in financial need enrolled in the college’s apprenticeship, certificate, diploma and degree programs.
Your gift will allow female students attending Georgian to worry less about finances and focus on what really matters – achieving their academic, career and personal goals.
More than halfway to our campaign goal!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of almost 250 donors, we’ve raised nearly $700,000 to support female students studying at Georgian College. Since 2015, under the umbrella of the WOMEN’S inTUITION campaign, more than 200 awards, scholarships and bursaries have been proudly distributed to students. These funds have helped our deserving students achieve their academic and career goals.

How WOMEN’S inTUITION started
Georgian volunteer and postsecondary education champion Giselle Bodkin founded WOMEN’S inTUITION in 2015. Giselle is a member of Georgian’s Advancement Committee and was inspired to start this campaign after attending a Women Moving Women event – a national movement to change the face of poverty in Canada.
She made her donation in honour of her late sister-in-law who studied nursing part-time at Georgian.

Donating to WOMEN’S inTUITION
You can become a WOMEN’S inTUITION donor with a donation of $50 a month for five years (total of $3,000).
One of the most popular ways to give is to direct your donation to the WOMEN’S inTUITION endowment fund. It’s a great opportunity to give in perpetuity as the principal amount remains intact and the interest provides funding for annual scholarships.
Your donation will go directly to a female student in financial need.
Your donation will transform the student experience
Mothers, grandmothers, daughters, sisters, nieces, neighbours and friends – these are the students WOMEN’s inTUITION supports.
I’m a recent graduate of Georgian’s Law Clerk program and currently enrolled in the four-year Bachelor of Business Administration – Management and Leadership degree. I have full plans to enter the Paralegal program in order to own and operate a civil litigation firm. As a single mom and guardian to my grandson, receiving a WOMEN’s inTUITION award has meant so much to me and been the start to a future of brighter possibilities.

Ways to give
You’re invited to give in one of the following ways:
- A monthly donation of $50 for five years for a total donation of $3,000 to be contributed to the WOMEN’S inTUITION endowment fund
- An annual donation of $600 for five years, for a total donation of $3,000 to be contributed to the WOMEN’S inTUITION endowment fund
- An opportunity to create an annual named award or scholarship for a minimum contribution of $1,000 per year for three to five years
- An opportunity to create a named endowment for a minimum $25,000 donation
