Tyler Celli – ABSC degree student, fourth year

 

 

Tyler is currently finishing up his fourth year in the ABSC degree with a passion for marketing and photography. Born and raised in Barrie, Ontario.

Karianne Hubert is a third-year Automotive Business School of Canada degree student.

I was born in Maniwaki, Quebec, I completed all of my high school there in French. I have an Entrepreneurship & Management diploma from Algonquin College and a Automotive Business diploma from Georgian College. Now, I am enrolled in the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (Automotive Management). I worked as an ambassador for Ford at the Georgian College Auto Show in 2016 and Co-Captain of Lincoln at the Georgian College Auto Show in 2017. I am looking forward to go back home and work in the family business.

Daniel Filipowitz – ABSC degree student, fourth year

Daniel Filipowitz is a fourth-year Automotive Business School of Canada degree student.

Daniel was born and raised in Barrie, Ontario. Originally leaving home to pursue degrees at two other Ontario universities, Daniel made the decision to move home and pursue an education/career in line with one of his passions in life: the automotive industry.

“I have always loved cars so it just made sense. I found myself disinterested in my accounting classes and realized it would be the same with a career as a CPA. I made the switch and have never looked back.”

Daniel has been fortunate to work for Volkswagen, Audi, Ford and Mercedes-Benz, and has been involved in parts prototype-testing firsthand with Magna International during a summer internship.

During his time at ABSC, Daniel has participated in two Auto Shows, first as an ambassador for Subaru, then as Co-Captain for BMW/Mini.

When Daniel graduates, he hopes to work at a corporate level in a product planning or PR position.

Kayla Kille – ABSC degree student, fourth year

Kayla Kille was raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Growing up she was surrounded by automotive culture due to her family’s business. This sparked a passion for cars and anything motor-related at a very young age.

She started her postsecondary education at a Manitoba college. Through this college she attained her business diploma which specialized in management. She didn’t know what direction she wanted to take with this diploma but knew she wanted to relate it back to her love for cars. This is when her parents mentioned the Automotive Business School of Canada. Within a few weeks of being accepted, she packed her bags and headed to Barrie to follow her childhood passion. She acquired the Automotive Business diploma this past year and has now chosen to purses the degree program. This puts her in her final year of the degree program.

While in school she has expanded her automotive knowledge and experience by working at various dealerships, head office positions, and participating in auto shows across Canada. Through the school she has participated in three Georgian College Auto shows, first as an ambassador for Lexus, then a captain of Lincoln and lastly a captain of Honda.

Joshua Katzman– ABSC degree student, third year

I am very excited to take on the role as Student Director of Performance and Sponsorship for the 2018 Georgian College Auto Show. I was born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario and have always had a passion for cars. When I was finishing high school, and looking where to attend postsecondary education, I was researching and looking for the right program for me. Once I found ABSC, I was sold. Combining my passion for cars as well as business was the perfect fit. Throughout my time at ABSC, I have worked for a variety of manufacturers at the dealer and corporate level including Mercedes-Benz, Smart, Nissan and Infiniti. These experiences have given me the knowledge and insight to help me be more successful in this industry.

After participating in the Georgian College Auto Show last year as a Brand Ambassador for Mercedes-Benz, I truly wanted to be more involved with the show to make it the best it has ever been.
