Treva Job is an Ontario Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner (NP). She has recently completed her PhD, with her dissertation focused on Nurse Educator’s Application and Implementation of Simulation Pedagogy in the Nursing Curricula underway.
She has been a faculty member at Georgian since 2013 and is now the Simulation Lead in the Health, Wellness and Sciences academic area. Treva has also been involved in a multi-site research grant entitled: Embedding Virtual Simulation, Virtual Reality and Augmented Realty in Education, where a team of 21 educators developed an open access etextbook – Virtual Simulation: An Educator’s Toolkit. She is involved in the development of mental health virtual reality scenarios that will be utilized in the nursing programs in the coming years.
Treva has an impressive background of clinical practice experience as a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner with organizations including WayPoint Centre for Mental Health Care, Georgian Bay General Hospital, Barrie and Community Family Health Team, as well as working as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the emergency department with Markham Stouffville Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children.
